Brief Description:  Drilling out the flaps and hinge/Riveting top main

The flaps were started. First the lightening holes were deburred and the edges were finished. The ribs were clecoed into place and match drilled. The FL-708 spacers were made and drilled. The bottom skin was attached and match drilled. The flap hinge was then match drilled to the rear spar. The piano hinge is 1/2" wide and I maintained the minimum 3/16" edge distance instead of the 1/4" to set the flap back 1/16". Most people need to adjust the flap rearward but have a hard time maintaining edge distance on the wing side of the hinge. This allows an extra 1/16" to play with. The top skin was clecoed on and match drilled.

I was able to get Grant to come over and we tackled riveting the top wing skins for the right wing. It only took about 2 hours to do the right wing minus the rivets that I can squeeze by myself. Once we got into the routine it went really fast and it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. We only had to drill out 2-3 rivets from miscommunication issues. I'll finish the rivets I can squeeze on the next work session.

Very productive day!
